Most call center also have certain requirements. You have to have high speed internet. Usually dsl or cable. Typically satellite, wireless and dial up internet do not meet the requirements. You will also need a computer. Computer requirements and programs may differ depending on the company. Many require a landline telephone. And most places request that you have a quiet workplace during the hours you will be working. A lot of times, they will send you a headset to use.
Be sure you pay attention to the time zone because these businesses may not be in your time zone and hours required to work with be based on their time. Make sure that you research each companies requirements before applying because each company has different requirements. These are just the main requirements for most companies.

If you use the internet or watch tv, there is a good chance that you have heard of Amazon. This is a company that sells products online and they offer work from home positions for their call center employees. They typically hire customer service representatives. However they are only limited to 13 states. You have to reside is one of the 13 states to be considered for employment with this company. (States include Arizona, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Kansas, Kentucky, Minnesota, North Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, West Virginia, and Wisconsin)
This company offers customer services positions as well as sales positions. They require a minimum of 20 hours a week and the pay is around nine to ten dollars and hour. They operate based on mountain standard time (which is what made it difficult for me to take the position) and require a quiet work space for each employee to qualify for the position.
Many other options to choose from
There are actually a ton of call centers that offer work from home positions. Customer services call centers, technical support call centers, sales call center, and many different industries are just some of the options you have to choose from.
