I’ve set a goal for myself to run a half marathon before year-end. To meet this goal, I’ve signed up for the West Coast Half Marathon that’s going to happen in Sarasota next month, on December 9th.  I’ve been training for several months, as this is my first half marathon in three years.  Each week until the race, I’ll share my training objectives, as well as the results from the previous week.  I’d also like to invite you to come run with me.

21 Days to go!

As I shared previously, I’m doing great at getting my long runs in on Sunday, but not so good on my schedule the rest of the week.  It wasn’t any better last week while I traveled for work.  As a result, I’m not making any progress on improving my times.

With only three weeks to go, my focus will be on keeping up my distance runs, and still trying to get shorter, faster runs in during the week when I can.

WEEK 22 RESULTS

Sun: 10 mile run- COMPLETE.

Mon: Rest

Tue: 5k run- COMPLETE. Managed to get a run in at the hotel.

Wed: 3 mile run or cross-training- MISSED.

Thu: 5k run- MISSED.

Fri: Rest

Sat: 60 minutes of cross training- MISSED.  Cub Scouts outing with my son, ensured I’d have no chance for a workout today.

AND HERE ARE MY OBJECTIVES FOR WEEK 23-

Sun: 11 mile run

Mon: Rest

Tue: 5k run

Wed: Crosstraining

Thu: 5k run

Fri: Rest

Sat: Crosstraining

Ready to take me up on my offer to come run with me at the Florida West Coast Half Marathon yet?

I’d love to see you come  do this race with me!
