Running Goal- Week 20 Results And Week 21 Objectives

I’ve set a goal for myself to run a half marathon before year-end. To meet this goal, I’ve signed up for the West Coast Half Marathon that’s going to happen in Sarasota next month.  I’ve been training for several months, as this is my first half marathon in three years.  Each week until the race, I’ll share my training objectives, as well as the results from the previous week.  I’d also like to invite you to come run with me.

The half marathon is only five weeks away.  I’m extending my distances again, having run nine miles last week, and I’m planning on running ten today. I’m also running shorter 5k’s during the week now instead of 5 miles.

WEEK 15 RESULTS

Sun: 9 mile run- COMPLETE. It was a beautiful day to run outside.

Mon: Rest

Tue: 5k run- COMPLETE.

Wed: 3 mile run or cross-training- MISSED. Halloween.

Thu: 5k run- COMPLETE.

Fri: Rest

Sat: 60 minutes of cross training- MISSED.  I haven’t gotten a good Saturday workout in over a month I think.

AND HERE ARE MY OBJECTIVES FOR WEEK 16-

Sun: 10 mile run

Mon: Rest

Tue: 5k run

Wed: Crosstraining

Thu: 5k run

Fri: Rest

Sat: Crosstraining
