So here we are at the end of September, rolling into October.  Fall is here.  And as far as my runs go, this means absolutely nothing. Because it’s still 90 degrees and humid as hell outside every friggin day.

Needless to say, I’m still doing my runs inside on the treadmill for now.

As you’ll notice, I haven’t been sticking too closely to my plan these past few weeks.  Things are really busy, and I am missing a workout here and there. But I’m still making forward progress overall.

I’m also hoping to get one of you who doesn’t run to run a 5k with me.  Still plenty of time to start training. And no better time than now to start!

Here are my results from last week.

WEEK 15 RESULTS

Sun: 12 mile run- COMPLETE.  My longest run of the training, and longest run I’ve done in a couple years, and it was a good one.  I averaged a pace in the low 12’s the entire run.

Mon: Rest

Tue: 5 mile run- MISSED.

Wed: 3 mile run or cross-training- COMPLETE.  I did 3.1 miles at a 11’58” pace. Almost a minute better pace than the same run last week. Yea!!

Thu: 5 mile run- COMPLETE. Not a great run, but it was five miles nonetheless.

Fri: Rest

Sat: 60 minutes of cross training- MISSED.

AND HERE ARE MY OBJECTIVES FOR WEEK 16-

Sun: 13.1 mile run

Mon: Rest

Tue: 5 mile run

Wed: 3 mile run

Thu: 5 mile run

Fri: Rest

Sat: Crosstraining

Ready to take me up on my offer to come run with me at the Florida West Coast Half Marathon yet?  How about just getting started running, and maybe shoot for your first 5k this year?

There’s plenty of time to train, and whether you’re an experienced runner or a beginner, I’d love to see you come  do this race with me!
