Running Goal- Week 11 Results and Week 12 Objectives

It’s hard to believe I’m rolling into Week 12 already.  My half marathon isn’t until November, so this is really just the halfway point for me. But, it’s a big week nonetheless.

I start the week with my longest run yet, 10 miles, followed by a couple shorter runs during the week.  I’ll cap everything off with a 13.1 mile run next Sunday.

This past week wasn’t great for me on my times.  I’m still struggling with my new calendar a bit, and finding myself a little low on energy by the time I finally run after work.  I’m still getting the runs in, but not making  any new progress on my splits. I did mostly meet all of my objectives though.

Sun: 9 mile run- Partially COMPLETE.  After about six miles into this run, something popped up at home and I had to cut it short.  I would have knocked out the last three miles otherwise.

Mon: Rest

Tue: 5 mile run- COMPLETE.  Not a horrible run, but not a great run.

Wed: 3 mile run or cross-training- COMPLETE.  Since I cut short my Sunday run, I went ahead and did the three miles today.

Thu: 5 mile run- COMPLETE.

Fri: Rest

Sat: 60 minutes of cross training- COMPLETE.  I did kettleball swings, ring rows, and bicycle crunches

Sun: 10 mile run

Mon: Rest

Tue: 4 mile run

Wed: 3 mile run

Thu: 2 mile run

Fri: Rest

Sat: Rest

Ready to take me up on my offer to come run with me at the Florida West Coast Half Marathon yet?  How about just getting started running, and maybe shoot for your first 5k this year?

There’s plenty of time to train, and whether you’re an experienced runner or a beginner, I’d love to see you come  do this race with me!
