Hey Ladies, and Happy Friday!

Earlier this week, Brittany and I were sharing some ideas for things we could do with the WorkingMomX site.  One of the ideas she came up with was to maybe do some short interviews of Moms we admire to share with you.

We thought we’d try out some of the questions on ourselves and see what you think.  Let us know, and maybe we’ll try to do more of this type of stuff in the future.
Anyways, here are the questions and my answers-

1.) Name- Candace

2.) Children- 1 boy, age 9

3.) Were/Are you a Working Mom? Yes

4.) Was your mother a Working Mom? Yes she ran a licensed day care program out of our own home

5.) what is your favorite memory of your mother? Any Christmas morning. It’s both of our favorite holiday

6.) What is your favorite memory AS a mother? Anytime I am watching him succeed: basketball, martial arts etc. Also our 1:1 moments- when I take him for the day. To the State Fair out for a run etc.

7.) What is the best advice you have ever gotten? Children are amazing little humans. We only have them for a short time and time goes by way too fast. Also- anytime he wants to talk- drop what I’m doing and engage with him

8.) What advice would you give to other mothers? Love them and the moments you share- as hard as you can. They can feel it

9.) What is the most important thing that you would want your children to know? He can come to me no matter what. That both his parents love and support him. We will always be there for him

10.) What was the biggest obstacle or struggle you faced as a mother? Balancing time. There are not enough hours in the day.

And now, for Brittany’s answers-

1.) Name- Brittany

2.) Children- 4 (3 boys ages 13, 12, and 4 and a daughter age 3) and a step daughter (age 17)

3.) Were/Are you a Working Mom? Yes. I worked outside of my home when my oldest boys were younger, then I also did the stay at home mommy thing, and now I work from home so I am a working stay at home mom!

4.) Was your mother a Working Mom? Yes she was. She has always been a very hard worker!!

5.) What is your favorite memory of your mother? How caring she always was and still is. I knew, no matter what, I could always go to my momma!

6.) What is your favorite memory AS a mother? Just being able to watch them grow and see how much they learn every day! They amaze me sometimes!!

7.) What is the best advice you have ever gotten? Don’t stress the little things!

8.) What advice would you give to other mothers? Take care of yourself too! We all love our babies and think our world revolves around them (and it does) but always take a little time for yourself. And ask for help if you need help!

9.) What is the most important thing that you would want your children to know? That no matter what has happened, what is happening, or what happens, I love them and I’m here for them. And always do what they think is right no matter what anyone else says!

10.) What was the biggest obstacle or struggle you faced as a mother? I’ve made a lot of stupid mistakes in my life and I’m still working on overcoming them and setting things right but I’ve always struggled with knowing if I’m doing the right thing or not. It’s hard to know in the moment sometimes.

We’d love to see your answers to these questions too. Feel free to copy and post the questions and your answers into the comments below.
